These are not my diary entries. The persona/narrator is always fictional, often unreliable. I am always fictional and unreliable.

And the persona in one song is not the persona in the next song. They're all filtered through me, unavoidably, but the personas are various men and women and other beings. Like I said, these are not my diary entries.

Sound comes before sense. If I wanted to write a carefully reasoned essay, I wouldn't write a song.

And sometimes I'm messing about. Having fun. I enjoy the silliness of where our brains take us.
